Health Guarantee
The health and well being of our puppies is a high priority for us. We have all of our parents appropriately tested to ensure that our puppies should have a full and healthy life. We provide the following health guarantee for our customers
Puppy Health Guarantee
Olsen Family Kennels, LLC guarantees that puppies will be free of adenovirus2, distemper, para influenza, and parvovirus for the period of 7 calendar days after receipt of puppy. We will provide a vaccination record of the purchased puppy. The puppy must be examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 7 days of delivery/pickup. If any issues covered under this guarantee are found during this veterinarian examination, they must be reported to us within 48 hours of diagnosis. If the puppy is due for vaccinations, and the Buyer fails to provide vaccinations within 72 hours of that date, this guarantee is null and void if the puppy contracts diseases that would otherwise be prevented by those vaccinations.
Additional Health Guarantee (AKC / APRI Registered Puppies Only)
Olsen Family Kennels, LLC guarantees puppies against Hereditary Hip Dysplasia (except due to trauma) up to 24 months of age provided the puppy is kept on a high-quality size appropriate puppy food for the first 12 months, then transitioned to a high-quality dog food. The OFA is the sole and only judge in determining hip dysplasia. The Buyer understands that adverse environmental conditions for a growing puppy is considered by leading veterinarians to be a major factor in the cause of Hip Dysplasia. We will not refund or replace due to the Buyer failing to protect puppy’s growth, environment, and nutrition, or problems resulting from any kind of injury or trauma. If Buyer’s vet and Olsen Family Kennels, LLC both agree on hereditary hip dysplasia, the puppy will be replaced with a pup of equal value. The Buyer will return puppy at their expense. Olsen Family Kennels, LLC will not be responsible for any shipping expenses of the replacement puppy.
Conditions NOT Covered
Viral / bacterial colds (respiratory infections), urinary tract infections and parasites such as Coccidia or Giardia (bloody stools), are easily treated and are not covered in the health guarantee as they are natural things puppies can pick up and often brought on by the stress of a new home, new food, new people, or just a change in environment. All puppies are treated for worms, coccidia and giardia before they leave our home. However, you need to be aware that these things can arise and that they are usually not serious and are easily treated and the treatment for them will not be covered.
